TROY, Mich., Dec. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Irma Elder, founder and CEO of the Elder Automotive Group, today announced the purchase of Jaguar of Novi located at 24295 Haggerty Road at the corner of 10 Mile and Haggerty in Novi, Michigan. The store was purchased from Nate Conyers, who newly built the facility in 2002 and who was also one of Michigan's Metro Detroit Ford Dealers prior to owning Jaguar of Novi.
When the agreement was finalized, it brought Elder's Jaguar dealership holdings to three in Michigan and one in Florida. With the purchase of Jaguar of Novi, the Elder Automotive Group has 11 dealerships collectively representing Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin, LincolnMercury, Jeep and Saab. There are eight locations in Michigan and three in the greater Tampa, Florida area.
Elder, known for her compelling story of perseverance and business acumen, said, "We are confident in the Jaguar nameplate and look forward to working together with our employees and our customers to assure continuity of quality and service."

Irma Elder was born in Mexico and came to the United States in her early teens unable to speak a word of English. She became president of the former Troy Ford auto dealership (renamed Elder Ford) upon the death of her husband in 1983. Faced with an unexpected and daunting challenge, she raised her three children and has since became one of the most prominent, well respected and accomplished women auto dealers in the United States.
Elder has won numerous business and philanthropic awards and honors including Ford Motor Company President's Awards for customer service, several Pride of Jaguar Awards and GM Dealer of the Year Award. She is a member of Hispanic Business Magazine's Top 25 Elite Women of the Year and CATCH Hall of Fame Inductee to name just a few of her distinguished list of honors.
Elder believes strongly in giving back to the community, and her affiliations and charitable support reflect that. Currently, she serves on the Board of Trustees for the College for Creative Studies, Oakland Family Services, Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Economic Club of Detroit Board of Directors. Most notably, President George W. Bush appointed her to the Commission on White House Fellowships. In addition, she supports The Detroit Institute for Children, LaSed, Angel's Place, The Children's Center, Alzheimer's Association and the Josephine Ford Cancer Center and many others.
Elder's newest dealership, Jaguar of Novi, sits on approximately four acres of property including a used car lot and a 20,000 square foot building housing the beautiful Jaguar showroom, offices and service department.
