Built in 2004, the Lamborghini Gallardo is a high performance sports car that can also be used daily. The compact two-door, two-seat coupe fares well on roads in the city and can reach up to 196 mph on long roads between countries. The Gallardo is fitted with a mid-rear mounted 520 horsepower 5.0L V10 engine employs lower ratio gears on an independent double wishbone suspension system. This is supplemented with a choice between a six-speed manual transmission and a six-speed electro-hydraulic controlled auto-clutch manual behind the steering wheel that offer faster gear shifts. Due to a 42 per-cent front and 58 per-cent rear optimal weight distribution, the Gallardo provides for advantageous traction, braking, and handling, especially in low-speed traffic. Together with a rear-biased all-wheel steer, the Gallardo is a more practical choice among other sports cars for use in bad weather. The Gallardo's aluminum body comes in a choice of green, blue, grey, red or black, with orange or red interior leather. Besides the basic Lamborghini Gallardo, there is also a Superleggera as well as a Spyder convertible model.
